Awarded ‘Best Premium White Wine’ after receiving the Gran Gold Medal at the Wines From Spain 2025 competition, Rioja Vega Tempranillo Blanco Reserva 2021 stands out for its exceptional quality and promising future. Like all Rioja Vega wines, it is crafted with the aim of capturing the vineyard’s authentic character in every glass.
Situated on a hillside at 442 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria, the Tempranillo Blancovineyard thrives on clay-limestone soils with south-facing slopes. Early morning harvesting and meticulous grape selection ensure an outstanding result.
Following careful vineyard selection, the grapes undergo gentle destemming and alcoholic fermentation in French and Hungarian oak barrels for 30 days. The wine then rests on its lees for six months, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels and 12 months in bottle. Only 1,248 numbered bottles reflect this dedication to excellence.
With a brilliant golden color and greenish hues, it surprises with intense and complex aromas—honeyed, smoky, with hints of tea and citrusy white fruits. On the palate, it offers a firm and fresh entry, leading to a long and velvety finish.
